Their vineyard comprises a total of 17 hectares in the Királyhegy, Kútpatka, Megyer, and Ciróka vineyards. The soil and climate are unique due to the volcanic rocks and the proximity of the Bodrog River, giving their wines a unique character and sophistication. Respecting tradition, they represent a modern wine style with fresh fruity notes and vineyard characteristics. Experimentation is key, with light reductive items and complex Tokaji specialties. They believe organic practices reveal the true terroir, and they’re committed to modern, quality winemaking, cherishing their family heritage.

The Vineyards: Harsányi Winery’s vineyards – Királyhegy, Megyer, Kútpatka, and Ciróka – boast unique terroir shaped by volcanic rocks and the Bodrog River. They farm organically, using natural materials and biological methods to preserve the land. This approach showcases the distinct characteristics of traditional Tokaji grape varieties like Furmint, Muscat, and Hárslevelű. Their low-cordon cultivation and careful pruning concentrate the best of the terroir into the vines, resulting in exceptional wines.

Family Heritage: Harsányi Winery, located in eastern Tokaj-Hegyalja, has been family-owned for over 170 years, except for a period of state ownership. The estate, also known as “Rick farm”, was founded by Jakab Rick in 1850 and flourished under Gusztáv Rick and Béla Rick. After World War II, the estate was confiscated, but returned to the family in the 1970s. Gábor Harsányi now leads the winery, combining tradition with modern techniques and technologies.

In Sárospatak, in the shadow of Tengerszem, you will find one of the most unique Tokaj wine estates: the Harsányi Winery and Dűlőbisztró. An unmissable destination for anyone who wants to truly experience the spirit of Tokaj-hegyalja. This building is home to the processing processes, and here you will find the aging cellars, as well as one of Sárospatak’s favorite restaurants, the Dűlőbisztró. There are opportunities for cellar visits and guided wine tastings, but there are many who visit us just for the delicious food or the atmosphere of the place. 

The terrace of the Dűlőbisztró offers a truly magical experience, with a full panorama of the mountains and valleys. Our menu includes dishes from international cuisine, combined with Zemplén gastronomy. We use walnuts, quince, elderberries, and other products grown on the Harsány estate.

We also offer other program options for groups. In addition to wine tasting and factory visits, we can also include a vineyard tour by off-road vehicle, archery, or even a walking safari.
