VT Borfőnök Reviews – 2026

Wine Tasting Experience:

Aszú 2019 5 puttonyos: VT Platinum Medal with a score of 96/100,

Maison Aux Pois’ Aszu 5 Putanyos wine is a true gem from the Tokaj region in Hungary. This Aszú is a true masterpiece, crafted from hand-selected grapes, soaked in fermenting szamorodni, and pressed in a traditional Kossuth press. Its brilliant golden color shines, accompanied by aromas of ripe apricot, honey, and green tea. The sip is long and rich, with 283 grams of natural residual sugar meeting vibrant acids, creating an endlessly long, honey-sweet, and beautiful experience.  This sweet, Aszú wine is made from the noble grapes of Furmint, Hárslevelű, and Muscat de Lunel, which are affected by botrytis, giving it an incredible richness and complexity.  The wine has a deep golden color and an intense aroma of honey, apricot, and orange peel, with hints of spices and vanilla. On the palate, it’s velvet-smooth, with a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, making it a delight to drink. The flavors of honey, dried fruits, and nuts linger long after the glass is empty.  The VT Wine Boss paired it perfectly with sushi and Tepan-grilled entrees at a Japanese Tepanyaki House in Orlando, FL, but this flexible masterpiece will also pair just as perfectly with your favorite pizza, straight through to the most complex Fois Gras.
